Shrub native to Asia that grows in sunny places like the mountains, cliffs, valleys and dunes. Plant resistant thorny branches, greenish flowers and orange or yellow berries, edible but slightly acidic flavor. The berries are high in vitamin C and rich in oils containing vitamins A and E, as well as having significant concentrations of unsaturated fatty acids are highly valued in cosmetics. Tibetans since the eighth century, and this shrub used for pharmaceutical purposes in more than 300 preparations prepared from berries.
