Shea Butter

The Shea (Vitellaria paradoxa) is a tree that grows in the western African savannas. It can live several centuries and grow up to 50 feet tall. It produces fleshy fruits with thin shell kernels. The shea butter is obtained after boiling the crushed almonds, and it consists of several acids: palmitic, stearic, oleic, linoleic and linolenic.

Properties:

- Protective action against dry skin

- Protection against sunburn (skin inflammation characterized by red spots)

- Prevention and treatment against skin aging (stimulates cell metabolism and prevents wrinkles)
